Welcome to Buffer Creek Sporting Clays
The newest shooting facility in the region, Buffer Creek Sporting Clays is easy to find, located north of Somerset, PA. Owned by Mike and Harriet Brendle, it is laid out around the 725 acre Brendle farm, which includes the area’s largest Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP). The course was designed by Gary Bloom, one of the top sporting clay course designers in the country.

Through age bracketed leagues, it has become a supervised shooting environment for most ages. There are 17 stations on a 1.1 mile walking-riding course to allow for more than 100 rounds to be shot. Additional stations are in the design phase. Options such as a 5-stand facility (a combination of trap, skeet, and sporting clays), is also included. The course offers open grassland, woodlots, and combinations of both that makes construction of course more unique and challenging than most other locations in the country.
